Job Title: Staff Accountant
A well-established software company is hiring a Staff Accountant to handle high volume work. The ideal candidate must be a team player who enjoys being challenged, creating efficiencies, and has great problem-solving skills.The person will be an equal contributor to the department during month close, general ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and maintaining accounting procedures.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Review and present accurate monthly sponsors review job costing for business operations
  • Put together financial package for management distribution
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile various balance sheet accounts quarterly.
  • Review and analyze monthly P&Ls for various departments and businesses.
  • Assist in coordinating yearly financial audit with independent CPA firm.
  • Assist in month-end close.
  • Create and post billing invoices for inter-company charges as well as for rental properties.
  • Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects. Act as project manager for special projects, at the request of team members.
  • Establish and maintain efficient office filing system.
  • Other duties as needed.

Staff Accountant Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Accounting is required
  • 3 - 5 years of Full Accounting Cycle (AR, AP, Billings, Payroll, GL, and Fixed Assets.
  • Strong computer skills are required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Hardworking, energetic and highly motivated self-starter must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds with poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize assignments, multi-task numerous projects and willing to easily switch roles.
