SEC REPORTING MANAGER

A Technology company in the Peninsula is looking for a Senior Manager/Manager of SEC Reporting who will be directly responsible for managing the preparation of SEC filings, including 10Qs and 10K, and coordination with the legal team with respect to the Proxy Statement and miscellaneous filings. Ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relative experience with 4+ years in public accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents
  • Prepare quarterly earnings release
  • Create and maintain SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following processes: financial close, BOD package, press release and 10-Q/K
  • Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance
  • Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team
  • Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues
  • Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors
  • Create, implement and maintain comprehensive worldwide accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistency
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period
  • Support month end and year end closing
  • Participate in other projects as required
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 8 years plus of relevant experience, and at least 4 years of public accounting is desired
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proven experience to make well-reasoned and timely decisions
  • Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent understanding of US GAPP and SEC Reporting requirements
  • XBRL tagging knowledge
  • Ability to work overtime during busy periods (i.e. month, quarter and year-end)
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Must have experience with Active Disclosure filing tool
