Position: SEC Reporting Manager
Location: Oakland
Compensation: $145,000- $150,000 + 10% Bonus

Job Summary:
The SEC Reporting Manager will be directly responsible for preparing the SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks and coordination with the legal team with respect to the Proxy Statement and miscellaneous filings. The SEC Reporting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller.

Job Description:

  • Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents and quarterly earnings release
  • Maintain SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for financial close, earnings release and 10-Q/K
  • Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance
  • Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures
  • Complete quarterly and annual GAAP compliance checklist
  • Assist with the preparation or review of stock-based compensation accounting, earnings per share and other equity accounting analyses, reconciliations and journal entries for month-end close
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period
  • Evaluate accounting treatment for significant/complex accounting transactions and document accounting positions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • 3 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements
  • Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) filing tool preferred and XBRL tagging knowledge
