Sales Representative

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is to grow business through product sales. Activities include maintaining relationships with assigned customers, developing new prospects within the assigned territory, and coordinating communications with internal resources to support customer needs. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager or Division General Manager.

DESCRIPTION:

Meets targeted revenue goals within assigned territory by growing business with existing customers and developing new prospects.

Generates accurate forecasts of product / volume mix.

Provides necessary market intelligence and customer demand information to support capacity planning at the remote factory.

Educates new customers about technology and related products. Qualifies new opportunities from both technical and business perspectives.

Writes quotes that describe the product and provides pricing/delivery information. Sets pricing based on customer requirements, cost data, and margin goals.

Manages prototype and development projects from order initiation to delivery and communicate with customer engineers, program/project managers to address cost, on-time delivery and technical issues.

Works with manufacturing, engineering, quality control, customer service, and planning personnel at the remote factory to ensure customer satisfaction.

Drives weekly meeting with remote factory to communicate key issues and projects.

Communicates customer feedback to the organization to identify the need for improvement of existing products or development of new items.

Assist with Customer Service Manager for monitoring OTD metrics and drive solution with remote factory when issue happens to ensure the customer objectives are met.

Coordinates communication with the customer and remote factory regarding corrective action and/or product design improvements for failed units.

Manage key factory initiatives as agreed between Sales Manager, General Manager and remote factory.

Participates in trade shows and follows up sales leads.

Provides input to the Regional Sales Manager, General Managers, and the Marketing Communications group to support promotional, advertising, and communication strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Technical Background. Valid driver's license. Chinese speaking preferred. Domestic and international travel might be required with potential of multiple stays and weekend and evening disruption. Must have direct experience; 3 - 5 years.
