Compensation: 60-65k plus commissions


A manufacturer of motion control products is seeking Sales Engineers to drive customer acquisition in the Chicago area. This role will be focused on the maintenance and acquisition of customers, geared toward driving company growth in the region.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a technical background and 2+ years of sales experience.

Sales Engineer Description:

• Responsible for sales volume, forecasting and sales growth through the acquisition and maintenance of customer base

• Call on current and prospect customer lists to offer products and services

• Work closely with distribution sales and prepare sales reports

• Acquire and follow up on leads in specified territory

• Prepare cost estimates through the review of customer drawings, plans, and other documents

• Provide technical support, trainings, seminars, and special reports to current customers

• Work closely with accounts receivable for delinquent payments

• Participate in Sales Engineer Certification Program for relevant products

• Navigate through CRM for customer information

• May also be required to participate in marketing projects, tradeshows, promotional events, train sales representatives, and other special products as needed

Sales Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, in a related engineering field preferred

• 2 years of related experience

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Valid driver's license, automobile, automotive insurance, and ability to drive
