Revenue Accountant

A Global Public Semiconductor Company in the East Bay is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their team. We are seeking a driven, team player who pays attention to detail with excellent organization and communication skills. This Revenue Accountant will be responsible for a variety of month-end and quarter-end close activities (including, but not limited to: account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to facilitate the review and execution of revenue related deals which includes deal structuring and identifying provisions that may have an impact on our revenue recognition
  • Ensure timely execution of month-end and quarter-end close activities (including, but not limited to: account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting)
  • Responsible for preparing selling price analysis of the various deliverables in our multiple element arrangements
  • Perform ad hoc accounting research to assess accounting impact related to sale transactions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable finance policies, rules, regulations, and laws
  • Perform relevant controls in the Company's revenue recognition process to ensure that we have adequate controls in place to mitigate all significant reporting risks.
  • Prepare audit schedules, provide analysis, and work with external auditors as needed
  • Assist with projects as needed together with FP&A, IT, and other parts of the organization
  • Work on ad hoc projects that range from process improvement, automation, and data analysis to present to executive management
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Graduate degree preferred
  • 3-6 years of general ledger and managerial accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing monthly Profit & Loss statements.
  • Proficient understanding of (US GAAP) revenue recognition, working knowledge of all other current authoritative literature related to revenue recognition.
  • Ability to handle high volume, diverse financial data and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Candidate will possess the following skills: strong analytical skills, self-motivated, detailed, strong communicator, strong time management / organizational skills, a self-starter with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel required, with SAP experience highly desirable.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
