Maintenance Technician

Luxury Wine Producer is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team!

Compensation: Base to $100K DOE plus bonus and terrific benefits


Primarily responsible for maintaining all site infrastructure and facilities. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems. Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Performs basic repairs and modifications on building and ground performing tasks such a light plumbing and electrical, painting, handy-man type tasks, moving furniture, may include labor house maintenance. Other responsibilities include managing the site safety and disaster preparedness, including safety plans, operations, resource planning and training. Opportunity to manage small capital projects.


Winery building, Cave tunnels, Ag Barn and RV Storage buildings, Ag Storage, Vineyard Office and Residence (future) buildings, Water system, including: storage tanks, pressure vessels, pumps and motors, valves and piping, filtration and sanitization systems, irrigation system, Critical facility systems: glycol chiller and boiler, air compressor, hot water heater, back-up generators, etc, Estate water retention pond and Entry gate(s), roads, site fencing and overall estate drainage


• Ultimately responsible for the operability of the site and to keep all facilities functioning. The ability to do minor repairs yourself is preferred, but not required. This role will require that you find the vendors to do the necessary repairs that cannot be executed in house

• Facilities, infrastructure and estate monitoring, preventative maintenance and ad-hoc repairs

• Equipment monitoring and preventative maintenance and repairs if qualified to do so, including: glycol and air handling systems, boiler and heat exchangers, gas generators, air compressor, water heaters, HVAC systems, all site piping and valves, lighting fixtures and systems, well and other water pumps, electrical generator, winemaking equipment as directed by Production (e.g., pump maintenance)

• Property safety planning

• Disaster preparedness resourcing and training

• Execute ad-hoc estate projects such as: basic electrical, plumbing, welding, earth movement/trenching, painting

• Assist in movement of furniture, materials and equipment as needed

• Vehicles repairs and maintenance

• Hand, power and machine tools operator

• If outsourcing is needed, schedule and manage equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with OEMs and specialty contractors

• Become proficient in all current and future estate systems functionality and operation

• Communicate issues that cannot be repaired to Project Manager in a timely matter

• Develop and report maintenance budgets and schedules as needed

• Maintain fuel source availability

• Maintain Miscellaneous Improvement Projects Calendar with collaboration from Project Manager

• Maintain Estate Maintenance Calendar


• Previous winery experience

• Experience with capital improvements a plus
