HR Generalist
San Jose, CA

The Human Resource Generalist reports to the HR Operations Manager, located at our Headquarters office. In this role, the HR Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits administration, HRIS administration, compensation, reporting and analytics, performance management, onboarding, EEO and employment law compliance, but are not limited to these areas.

• Responsible for new hire onboarding inclusive of processing new hire paperwork, e-verify and I9

• Work with a third-party benefits administrator to resolve benefits issues, claims resolution per the policy guidelines. Provide immediate resolution or vigilant redirection to escalated resources.

• Support the annual plan and renewal of benefits. Lead open enrollment event, wellness programs and leave of absences

• Responsible for annual ACA filings, 401k audit support, 5500 and non-discrimination testing

• Participates in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze the company's competitive position.

• Files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

• Reviews and processes all personnel transaction forms for employees (i.e., new hires, terminations, transfers, salary increases) and maintains HRIS with current employee/position, salary information and documentation per SOX policy

• Assist HR Operations Manager in processing terminations and exit interviews, annual merit/focal and bonus management.

• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive issues.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, PHR-CP or SHRM preferred

• 5 years of related experience

• Acute attention to detail

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Commitment to excellence and high standards

• Flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities

• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations - COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA and State, and Federal regulations

• Familiarity with enterprise HR Software

• Ability to communicate effectively(verbal/written) with strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and with various teams
