This is a service position, meaning you are always servicing internal or external customers. You have and are expected to use independent judgment, and the authority to make decisions to provide successful transactions and satisfy customers. Being accurate and on time is a must. This position will challenge you with day to day customer service responsibilities, including but not limited to, account management, client support, in-house support, training, and policy development and updates.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure client retention and satisfaction
  • Ensure clients are being "touched" according to the scheduled touches
  • Develop HR policies for client companies as necessary
  • Responsible for management of your client base, including planning actions for the year, managing client time and expectations based on the plan selection and selling and/or cross selling
  • Provide on-site support for clients to include trainings, orientations, employee relations, HR audits, and general HR compliance
  • Support clients via phone and email
  • Develop and update employee and management handbooks for client using updated template
  • Provide off-site support to clients by telephone / e mail on daily basis
  • Update existing training programs such as handbook roll-outs, harassment training, counseling, disciplining and terminations, etc.
  • Maintain client information by using Epic
  • Responsible for keeping current on all HR practices at local, state and federal level

Qualifications

  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service. Provide response to client questions within 24 hour time period whenever possible
  • Must be capable of training and providing instruction in both written and verbal format
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of the federal and state laws related to HR field; and must be able to exercise judgment in determining client and employee needs
Special Requirements

Must be able to produce a clean CA Driver's License and evidence of insurance coverage. Client visits are a daily requirement of the position.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related studies or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years in Human Resources with strong knowledge in at least 3 of the following areas: employee, relations, compliance, Handbook Development, FMLA, LOA, HRIS, consultant, recruiting, training, benefits, compensation, payroll, PEO, and HRO.
