Facilities Technician
San Francisco

Primarily responsible for assisting the Facilities department with the day-to-day operations. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following.

Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
* Report on a regular basis to the Facilities Manager regarding all areas of responsibility.
* Provide assistance with Receptionist coverage as needed including covering lunch and break daily.
* Responsible for booking, cleaning and adding supplies to all visitor offices.
* Responsible for assisting in booking of conference rooms as needed.
* Responsible for keeping visitor log up to date.
* Clean up offices/desks after employee departures.
* Support/carry-out all aspects of internal and external moves and event support.
* Move furniture & equipment as needed, including setting up tearing down multipurpose conference room for various meetings.
* Install keyboard trays, sit / stand stations, and monitor arms as requested.
* Insure that all unoccupied offices/workstations are freshly painted, furniture is well maintained and clean, nameplates are correct, and that office is ready for occupancy at any time.
* Responsible for the daily floor inspections and patrolling the common areas and hallways on a regular schedule to report cleaning/maintenance issues.
* Prepare spot maps monthly for carpet cleaning.
* Contact building management to respond to issues regarding lights, HVAC and painting.
* Set up equipment (flipcharts, TV/VCR) as required for conference room meetings.
* Answer the facilities hotline and dispatch solution as necessary.
* Exercise care in the course of work to prevent injuries to oneself and co-workers.

Facilities Technician Requirements:
* Available to work overtime, as required.
* Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, DTE, Adobe Acrobat, FileSurf and other applications.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Additional education or trade school.
* Previous facilities or office experience in a professional services environment.
* Previous computer experience.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to use power tools.
* Pleasant, courteous demeanor and a neat appearance.
* Prompt, reliable and energetic manner.
* Strong organization and communication skills.
* Ability to work well with others in a team environment
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work accurately under pressure.
