San Jose, CA
$22-$24 per hour DOE


Provide excellent customer service and support all areas of operations while maintaining professionalism and versatility. Processing customer transactions in an efficient and accurate manner and provide solutions for customer needs while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate person in a friendly, professional manner.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / COMMERCIAL BANK TELLER
$22-$24 PER HOUR DOE

Essential Functions
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Greet customers appropriately and shake hands.
    • Complete transactions in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Give customers full attention, identify what their needs are and match them with proper products and/or services.
    • Balance face-to-face customers with phone customer inquiries and requests (includes mail and fax communications).
    • Provide problem resolution.
    • Strive to obtain core deposits whenever and wherever possible/cross-sell when possible.

• Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and transfer calls to correct extensions; take detailed messages and ensure messages are delivered to appropriate persons; maintain control of telephone console and record messages for holidays and staff meetings; and maintain time settings and add or change employee names on system.


• Assist guests by greeting and obtaining routine information.


• Provide administrative support by assisting in the preparation of meeting packets; accepting customer requests; and sorting, delivering and picking up mail multiple times daily.


• Keep "bullpen" area neat and clean; ensure supplies (e.g., copy paper, pens, envelopes, etc.) are adequately stocked, as requested by the Administrative Assistants.


• Perform various financial transactions, including deposits and withdrawals and issue cashiers' and travelers' checks, staying within teller limits.


• Ensure proper forms and records are properly filled out, filed and stored.


• Accept customer loan and safe deposit payments as well as check reorder forms and EFTPS forms.


• Roll coins

  • Assist and cover New Accounts when needed.
  • Fill in for the CSR III/Assistant Operations Supervisor when needed.
  • Assist other positions as needed
  • Keep abreast of all products and services offered by the Bank.

• This position requires the employee to spend approximately 50% of his/her time working at a desk; the balance of time (approximately 50%) is spent moving around work areas.


• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.


• Solid word processing and computer database skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and systems used in tracking customer accounts .


• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.



Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of New Accounts Experience.
  • Must be bondable.
