Mountain View, CA

The Corporate Controller directs the accounting and financial reporting area. The Corporate Controller collaborates on the financial resources of the organization by managing, developing, and monitoring financial and internal controls. The position is responsible for the following functions:
* To manage and provide general accounting (General Ledger, Payroll, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset/CIP Management
* Treasury - review of daily/monthly cash needs of all entities and coordinate cash deposits/withdraws to investment trust accounts in conjunction working with Investment Consult in the placement of surplus cash. Outstanding debt (G.O. and Revenue Bonds respectively), attention must be paid to coordinating the needed quarterly/annual compliance disclosure reporting and supplying requested financial information to the rating agencies annually.
* Preparation of certain entities' tax return (Form 990's/Corporate Taxes), and annual report to the Secretary of State, the Department of Managed Health Care, and Registry of Charitable Trusts.
* Placement/renewal of insurances for the organizations (Hospital Professional Liability, D&O, Auto, Property, Fiduciary, Cyber, Crime, etc.).
* Assisting the Financial Analysis/Decision Support department in the annual budget process for the Hospital/related entities, and preparing a stand-alone budget of the District. Preparation of periodic financial reports for the stand-alone entities of the District, Foundation, CONCERN: EAP, and Silicon Valley Medical Development, LLC.
Coordinate actuarial reviews for self- funded Workers Comp and Hospital Professional Liability reserves.

Auditors - annual financial as well as government auditors

Banks and Trustees

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
* Ten years experience in accounting with five years accounting management experience in health care, large hospital accounting management experience required
* Knowledge of hospital or governmental accounting
* Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and managing multiple projects including process improvement and change management
* Strong business acumen with ability to influence decision-making
* Strong interpersonal skills including consultative, written and presentation skills
* Experience with accounting, payroll, ERP systems; Workday experience a plus


License/Certification/Registration Requirements
CPA or MBA preferred
