Sunnyvale, CA

This is the job for you if want to create a world-changing and lifesaving product and to build a great company. We are seeking a supervisor for our assembly operations. This is a on the production floor, hands-on, job.

The day-to-day operations leader job responsibilities include:
* Setting production schedules, material and manpower resources to meet output objectives.
* Assigning employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.
* Identifying and resolving production and material problems to fix problems affecting schedules.
* Hands on assembly of the instruments and assays to both ensure understanding of the assembly process and to contribute to output.
Lives depend on the products we make so quality is a must. We are ISO-13485 certified and have a well-run quality management system. A critical aspect of the role is assuring quality processes, adherence to procedures and being a great partner with our quality team. The role includes:
* Maintaining up to date work instructions, travelers, a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods and the like.
* Ensure the assembly team is adhering to work instructions and completing documentation such as travelers.

You will be a key contributor and critical to the success of the company. You should have a successful track record of building and supervising assemblers in a medical device company. It is important that you be comfortable and capable with the environment and responsibilities of a small, fast moving company. You will need to be hands on closely involved in all aspects of manufacturing. You should have done it before, not just
managed the guy who did it. You must be a self-starter who can work effectively with others in a small high energy team focused on results and hitting deadlines. You should have the following experience and skills:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environment. AS/BS in engineering or related field.
* Experienced in assembly and manufacturing of electro-mechanical products. Good skills with hand tools and following written work instructions.
* Familiarity with FDA QSR and ISO 13485 medical device regulations.
* Ability to deliver under tight deadlines with a focus on quality.
* Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Effective communicator of technical & non-technical information.
* Documenting tasks performed according to SOPs and documenting problems or failures in the product, process or equipment.
* Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, full fluency (verbal and written) of the English language is a must.
