We are seeking an Manufacturing Assembly Technician to assist in the production of Reveal instrument and assays. The Reveal instrument includes optics, electronics and mechanical assemblies. Once cleared by the FDA products will be used in hospital labs and the results will guide patient care. It is essential that our products be built to the highest quality standards.
This job requires a self-starter with basic mechanical assembly skills, ability to follow written instruction, willingness to cheerfully perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast-moving organization, and experience working in a disciplined production environment. This position will include handling of large items up to forty pounds, and other physical demands.

Responsibilities and Duties
* The job includes assembly and manufacturing of electro-mechanical products, including use of hand tools and following written work instructions.
* In addition to assembly tasks, this position will be responsible for a variety of activities within a small assembly shop, including receiving and inspecting incoming parts per written instruction, performing part counts and assisting with maintaining shop inventory, maintaining bin stock material supplies (screws, etc), general shop maintenance including cleaning and organizing materials and workspaces.
* It is important that the Assembly Technician has a "can-do" attitude regarding tasks and challenges presented. The ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, and flexibility and a positive attitude in taking on new projects, will be essential for a successful candidate.
* Daily test execution following detailed test procedures.
* Collect data from test units, organize the findings and identify product defects.

You should have experience in a production work environment, or experience as a mechanical assembler. Although not mandatory, a high school degree or equivalent is preferred, and an associate degree or certification in a manufacturing technology or similar specialty would be a plus. A self-motivated individual,
flexible with a positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges is a must. Good verbal communication skills, an ability to closely follow written work instructions, and experience working with manufacturing hand tools is required. You should have 3 or more years of relevant experience including:
* Assembly and manufacturing of electro-mechanical products. Good skills with hand tools and following written work instructions.
* Receiving and inspecting incoming parts.
* Inventory control of stock and tracking work in process.
* Documenting tasks performed according to SOPs
* Documenting problems or failures in the product, process or equipment.
* Some computer skills and experience with common software (Excel, Powerpoint, email) will be preferred.
* Ability to read engineering documentation is a plus, but not essential.
* Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, full fluency (verbal and written) of the English language is a must.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
* This job is performed in a manufacturing shop setting adjacent to development laboratories and offices. Standing or sitting for extended periods may be required at times.
* Some moderate to heavy lifting is likely. Exertion of up to 40 lbs. of lifting occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common shop tools and equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, etc., is required.
* Good organizational and self-management skills are needed, and solid reasoning ability is required to contribute to solving shop challenges as they arise
