Job Title:
This position requires this person to safely and properly perform general and complex preventive maintenance repairs and troubleshooting on equipment and machine process including facility repairs.. Operate equipment; forklifts, electric pallet jack, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in conjunction with the repairs of the facility. Ensure that all maintenance PM's and repairs do not affect the quality of the products being processing it in accordance with the company's guidelines for this position, as well as USDA rules, regulation, and requirements.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility.

• Maintain boilers including water treatment with proper chemicals.

• Perform calibrations on all critical process equipment and machines.

• Maintain the facility to include replacing or repairing; broken windows; doors, door hardware and light carpentry.

• Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility utilizing a CMMS program.

• Monitor and perform adjustments utilizing computer controls on some process machines and equipment.

• Install electrical supply on new machines, equipment, and motors. To include; new electrical services, wiring during upgrading projects. ( 3ph, single ph, low voltage, and Data cable)

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on control circuits to include PLC's and VFD's and devices on machines and equipment.

• Quickly respond to corrective maintenance requests to troubleshoot and repair problems in the shortest possible time.

• Use maintenance software "CMMS" to create, open, and complete work orders and PM's.

• Complete parts request for work orders for supplies, repair parts.


  • 3 years' experience working in an industrial maintenance environment, High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.

  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Follow Up
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Knowledge of how a production facility functions
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures changes.
  • Sound judgment, problem solving and common sense thinking skills
  • Basic understanding of GMPs and HACCP
  • Ability to work early hours, overtime, weekends and holidays
  • Bilingual skills-Spanish/English preferred but not required, must be able to read and write.
  • Basic Computer Skills required.
