Temp to Hire Loan Processor Needed in Walnut Creek!

Job summary:

Under the direction of top producing loan officers and their manager, provide processing support and act as a liaison between the loan officer, underwriter and other operations staff. Maintain production reports and provide them daily. Manage active pipeline and ensure timely closing of all transactions.

The best fit for this position would be someone who is currently working in a Loan Processor position and has a positive attitude, is interested in growth and thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Additional Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist loan officer in managing pipeline in a timely and efficient manner, while obtaining working knowledge of company products as well as private and government insured mortgage guidelines.
  • Interact and interface with the LO and their LOA.from application to closing.
  • Work in Encompass.
  • Stay abreast of changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages.
  • Maintain a professional image and adhere to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two years of sales or finance experience OR recent College graduate holding an Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to interact with regional, and corporate departments, as well as realtors, sales agents, builders, appraisers, etc.
  • Has working knowledge of Encompass or a similar LOS.
  • Must know which documents are necessary to complete a borrower loan file.
  • Must know how to accurately calculate income for both salaried and self-employed borrowers.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • An ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of information, and must be able to use designated technology.
  • Must continue to expand knowledge of issues influencing the industry and the organization.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented and possess ability to prioritize work load based on loan volume.
  • Must be available to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.
  • Must be proficient in required origination technology and use of other office equipment.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of borrower and/or company information.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as required.
