We are currently seeking a strong Sales professional to join our team as the Sales Director for the Spirits Category.


The Sales Director is responsible for meeting sales objectives, and driving profitable growth through the development of sales team, management of existing business, and adding new business. The Sales Director will possess excellent leadership attributes, a hands-on approach to delivering results, exemplary sales and operational skills, with a passion for success.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Financial Accountability

  • P&L responsibility for the Spirits business unit.
  • Data analysis to learn, understand and direct.
  • Effective communication of results (why, how, where).
Collaboration

  • Engage in process excellence across eastern zone.
  • Flexibility to evaluate and adjust for the good of the east and company.
  • Cross functional engagement with Category Management.
  • Cross functional engagement with Operations.
Team / Development

  • 7-10 direct reports (field/inside sales).
  • Guide, train and develop individual talent.
  • Refine sales territories to ensure optimal coverage.
Sales Leadership

  • Ability to support, motive and inspire a team to deliver greater results.
  • Develop/implement a share-of-wallet strategy for growth of existing customers.
  • Develop/implement a new customer acquisition strategy.
  • Engage in customer relationship development.
  • Engage in customer contract negotiations.
Supplier Management

  • Establish routine rapport with key supplier (manufacturers).
  • Work with Category Management on supplier negotiations.
Systems

  • Lead team in the launch and rollout of CRM (v2).
  • Ensure adaptation by 100% of the team.
Performance Metrics

  • Sales, GM, GM%, Expense and EBITDA goal attainment.
  • New customer acquisition.
  • Contract retention.
  • CRM adoption.
Requirements:

  • University or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales with proven results
  • Beverage alcohol supplier or distributor experience
  • P&L management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven people management skills
  • Must be willing to travel 30%-40%

This is an Exempt, salaried position. After a short probationary period, you will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurances. We have a 401k with employer match, and we offer paid holidays and Paid Time Off.
